Lately...

9 more days to Christmas, and here is our Christmas tree! Alive and ready to be planted in the backyard after the holidays, it's sitting on top of Eli's family's butcher block, safe from the zoo which is our house! I finally finished the skirt and since we can't find a simple angel or something for the top, I may just make something...or leave it as is. The tree smells AMAZING but the needles are insanely sharp. Like needles! We finally made some serious progress on the bathroom and all except some small strips by the window are painted blue (the paintbrush was too big). Now we just have to put new molding back on the seams (and paint it too), put in the baseboards, and hang up the hardware! It already looks like a whole new bathroom! I can't wait to move onto our master bath!
Birdie is getting bigger and doesn't scream as much. She's piddle pad trained...although she's had her share of mishaps and has yet to understand that the edge of the piddle pad does not exactly count. The mop is kept readily available lately. She also caught on quick on what it means to stay in the kitchen, even without any sort of baracade. But she loves sneaking out to play with the cat and laundry. We've reclaimed our bathroom and she now sleeps in a crate which she has been suprisingly fond of from the beginning.
I don't think Henry reads this so I'll go ahead and post it...for his Christmas present I'm making him a Mustache Hanky. Eli wanted one too so this is the one I made him last night. Henry, if by some odd chance you did read this, act suprised, I've been insanely psyched to make this to support your facial hair obsession.
