The Bedroom...minus The Bed.

The bed is gone! (And hopefully making an expectant momma very comfortable tonight!). A trip for a new frame and mattress is in the works, most likely this weekend.
Until then, I'll probably pull the twin mattress upstairs to sleep on. Two adults on a twin? Well, we've done it before for a few months when we first moved in together (new love? haha)...but for the last weekend the husband has been on the couch already. And no, nobody's in the doghouse...this clan has been sick! It started with the husband, and our efforts to keep him away from the baby have failed and now Baby is sick too! I've been fine, thankfully, just worn out from taking care of everybody! I can't wait for a good night's sleep on fresh new sheets!
Back to the bed. Or lack thereof. I haven't done any recent shots of the bedroom besides Baby's little corner, which is the nicest looking corner. Here's a view of the wall where the headboard would go and our closet. We removed the doors on them and I've somewhat recently hung up curtains, but I wasn't sure if they would be too thin so I only bought two. I'll add two more so it'll look a lot nicer than just looking like two bedsheets pinned up. I also need to hem them a touch higher, I think they are looking a little sloppy. And the telephone jack needs to be either replaced or screwed back in and painted the wall color. The painting seems easier. Just have to do it.
The other half of the closet, as well as the door to the bathroom. I love our antique shop dresser but we tend to get it pretty cluttered with water glasses and coffee cups and the corner seems to look messy. I'm thinking of getting an adjustable wall mount for the little flatscreen to clear up some dresser space. I've passed them numerous times at Target, and they are somewhere around $80. Really? For a tiny TV that barely cost that much itself?
And then the door to the downstairs, our second closet and the bathroom. One more outlet to change out, and I'd like to move the mirror to the inside of the closet door. But right now Baby loves to kiss his reflection and it's too cute to make me want to move it! I'd love a big wardrobe mirror, but the only good place to put it is right where his crib is!

More pictures to come this weekend, I've picked up a bedspread comforter and just have to find sheets. This is going to be the first time we've had a completely made bed. For whatever reason we never have bought a comforter or matching sheets or anything. Or a real bedframe (not the metal one beds comes with!).
